NUVACORE Appoints David Williamson as SVP of Hardware Engineering

April 30, 2026

NUVACORE today announced that David Williamson has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering. Williamson brings decades of semiconductor leadership experience, including senior engineering leadership roles at Arm and more than 13 years at Apple, where he led the CPU design team that was part of the era that transformed the industry through Apple Silicon.

At NUVACORE, Williamson will lead hardware engineering as the company builds a new class of CPU designed for the scale, efficiency, and performance demands of the AI era. His appointment marks another major milestone as NUVACORE assembles an elite team to rethink compute from first principles.

“David is one of the most accomplished hardware leaders in the industry,” said Gerard Williams, Co-Founder of NUVACORE. “He has helped build some of the most advanced silicon systems ever shipped, and he knows what it takes to turn bold architecture into world-class products. As we build the future of compute, there is no one better to help lead that mission.”

Williamson’s arrival underscores growing momentum at NUVACORE as the company advances its vision for next-generation CPU innovation.
